I just recently moved to the Seattle area and decided to go for a hike. I hope you all enjoy.

nice pics OP. You should check out Olympic national park, and the San Juan islands. Welcome to some of the prettiest country you can see. If you decide to go look for some cajun food, check out the New Orleans Creole Restaurant.

eta.....find it funny you said washington state, I know why you did. When I used to live in Washington and people in NOLA asked me where I lived I would say Washington and they always came back with D.C.? Realized I needed to say WA state since we aren't really recognized.

does it ever melt? i was on rainier last year in late july and there was still a shite ton of snow...while it was 115 in phoenix.

It doesn't up that high. There are a ton of cool hikes up around 6,000-7,000 feet though that are only open from about July-September. I'm guessing you are above 8,000 feet in that picture.

do it sooner then later. one of the few areas of the country i would consider living. not that louisiana i superior to anywhere else, but its home.
