After reading about this place here I may have to get one of each kind of poboy they offer

Just get a small special and small shrimp for yourself.
Both of those are better than this so-called surf n turf that darrells newbs are preaching about.

If you do get both the shrimp and special, be sure to eat the shrimp first so at least you leave on a high point.

I lived in Lake Charles and went to Darrells at least once a week. Surf n Turf is legit.

I live in Lake Chuck and the S&T is a new sandwich that they started serving a while back. Its pretty good. I have said on here before if you get the special and add shrimp you will get an excellent sandwich. This is what we used to do before they served the S&T. Whats good about it is you get ham, turkey and the gravy. They do not put the gravy on the S&T. Either way you will be getting a good sandwich. You have to get the special with jap mayo regardless. Enjoy

Make damm sure,they fry the shrimp. Last one I had, they gave me cold boiled shrimp, & I did not know it until I got back home. To pissed to bring it back

They are all sauteed shrimp poboys. They do not fry them. I guess they could if you asked but I have never seen one.
