I'm not asking for who you think were the best, but instead, who are the guys you miss the most. The guys who were just fun to watch, regardless of stats or post season recognition.

1. Eddy Furniss - the fact that he stayed 4 years at LSU and had one of the sweetest swings I've ever seen from the left side makes it an easy decision for me.

2. Mikie Mahtook - pardon the cliche, but he left it all on the field every night. Played with guts and passion, and is a guy that kids should model their game after. (I know his career is not over yet, but I am having withdrawals already)

3. Armando Rios - I'm a fan of the little guys. He was on the first CWS team that I watched as a kid and just loved watching him play CF.

4. Blake Gill - not much to say other than just enjoyed watching him play.

5. Micah Gibbs - true leader who was like another coach on the field. Don't know how well he is doing in the minors, but I hope to see him in the bigs soon.

Armando Rios

May be the most clutch hitter in LSU baseball history. He seemed to be in the middle of every important inning.

Good list

1. Wilson- everyone sees hes is crazy in the majors, he was the same in college.
2. Antoninie- however you spell it. He was great to watch full of humor.
3. Rios- strictly for his back flips.
4. Larson- Never seen anyone hit the ball like that cat.
5. Mestepey- How he was 5-10 on a good day and stomped around the mound like he owned the thing. BTW he did own it.

I could do this all day long but i think those are some of my favs really in no particular order.

Skip Bertman said on more than one occasion that Jason Williams was the best clutch hitter he has ever coached.

Thats a good list. I'd add Renaudo to the list...when he was on and fired up, he was a lot of fun to watch.

Someone i know pulled out an oooooooold game tape the other day that had a home run mouton hit over one of the international apartment buildings

Mahtook has become one of those players that whenever you see him come up with a couple of guys on, you just know something good is gonna happen.
