How in the hell could Jack Black think hiring a giant gorilla as an actor in a play was a good idea?

That's your only issue with this movie?

Almost everyone in the movie overacted, it was exactly the same as the original King Kong movie, and it took way too long to get to the island.

The only real good part was when they fell into that canyon and the earthworms and insects started eating them.

Way too long, but the Kong/T-Rex fight was awesome.

That was a creepy part. Those things look similar to like likes from the Ocarina of Time.

King Kong '05 was one of my best movie experiences. I loved every bit of the movie. It wowed me so much. It made me realize again why I like films so much. Sure, it has it's flaws, but to me this movie is perfect for theaters.

Agreed. It was a blockbuster, fun movie. It wasn't meant to become a classic.

I thought this film was terrible from start to finish.

I'm not even sure why I didn't like it. I think it was almost overload of the senses. Just way too many fights and crap going on.

I still love the remake from 76 or so even though I know it is a terrible movie (with a fantastic score). Well is also had a smoking hot Jessica Lange.

The pit scene was disturbing as hell. The original 33 version actually had a similar scene with a spider that was deemed so disturbing at the time, they removed the footage and it was lost.

I've only seen the 2005 version 1 time, so maybe one day I will give it another viewing. I just remember thinking the damn movie was going on forever which I normally like long movies.

it was too long

i hated the pit scene

i loved the long exposition

they should have spent less time on the island, taking out the entire pit scene. i know it was a big deal to jackson, but it sucked dick. the cgi was shitty and it added nothin to the movie

Those worms were some of the most realistic CGI in the movie, spare Kong.

It was a very enjoyable movie. A little too long, and the CGI was just awful in parts, but still enjoyable. Naomi Watts was fricking gorgeous.

It's a colossal mess of a movie and much too affluent -- even by Peter Jackson's standards.

I remember seeing this movie in NYC. It was cool to have been on the same streets just a little earlier.

Loved it. It's definitely one of those movies that is meant for theaters (or HD/BluRay).

Sure, it drags on a good bit at the island, but still...solid movie, and a really good remake IMO. I thought old school NYC looked fantastic.

Can't stand Adrien Brody though.

I liked it. I thought that Jackson was aiming to pay homage to the original, which necessitated a longer movie. Not an all time fave, but I have never understood the hatred of the movie.

The pit was creep as shite.
