PS3 or XBox 360: Looking for advice from gaming board

Ok so this summer I am buying a console, but I haven't decided whether to get a 360 or a Playstation. I have owned a 360 before so I know what it can do, but I have very limited experience with PS3. In what ways is it better? In what ways it worse (other than the network failure)? This is not meant to be a debate but I would love anybody's input. TIA

You can play online with the 360.... PS3, not so much.

This is true. Also it depends on what you like to play. 360 is built for first person shooters and has really good online features. PS3 is built more for RPG's and things like that. They both have their ups and downs. Just look at exclusive games and base your decision off that cause graphics are pretty much the same minus the fact that 360 runs every game at 1080 where as ps3 runs most games at 720.

My favorite genre is probably sports games, with FPS coming in second. I gave all of my 360 games to my little brothers but I am still paying for my account because I play on it at my friends. And I will be buying Star Wars when it is released on Blue-Ray 
I just feel like a PS3 would be something different than what I'm used to and I would still be able to play 360 because that's what all of my friends have. But I really could go either way I just want to know what advantages, if any, PS3 has over xbox.

Free service , Blu ray and a few good exclusives. GOW, Uncharted etc. I own a 360 but you cant go wrong with either.....unless you like playing online right now.

I had both. I have a PS3 now and I wanted it for The Show and for blue ray. Even though the network is down, I find it better for me because of the superior baseball and exclusive offerings, like Uncharted, The Show, etc.
And that's my honest opinion on why I prefer PS3 for myself.

Ps3 does everything...
Seriously though the ps3 can play blu-ray and IMO has better graphics. Plus you can play the exclusives.

Get a PS3 for the reasons u stated. It is different and it feels less "gamey." the media sharing on it is awesome as well.
