I looked through the dining guide and nothing stood out to me. We are looking for a casual place with good Cajun food, moderately priced ($10/plate range), and can fit a reservation for up to 15. Any good suggestions? TIA

Good luck finding moderately priced in the FQ...it's all going to be overpriced for what it is.

This applies to the regular restaurants, not stella! (although i think it is overpriced now), muriels, etc.

I can't think of a single place in the quarter that has a $10/plate range that would take reservations. Can't really think of any place all that great for that price either.

If you insist on that price range, your best bets are to get there early at the Gumbo Shop or Mothers.

There is a place called Coops that is almost as much bar as restaurants that might can fit your needs too.

Screw all that. It is a bachelor party. You are going to waste more money than you imagine. Step it up, get a reservation at La Boca, do the group dinner (think it is $50 a head), and save yourself the hassle of finding a place to fit a $10 budget.

La Boca would be great. He said he wanted "Cajun food", though. Look into K-Pauls. It will still be at least 50 a head. Hell, Coops will be at least 15, without drinking anything. $10????

Mandina's is a mile up Canal and takes reservations. Trolley makes it easy if no cars and don't want to taxi.

Not sure about reservations but I've seen them handle a pretty big group before

It's now Felipes. Casual, moderately priced Mexican.
