Recommendations for beginner business/financial books...?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Recently my father has started a company and has begun to include me in meetings and is helping me feel involved. I'm 25 and have no real hands on business experience, but am slowly learning as I go. I can't commit a lot of time to this endeavor because I am still in med school. However, I am looking for a book that can help get me started asking my dad the right questions on basics of a business (financials and structure), specifically in the oil and gas industry. I know this is a very broad request, but I figure at least a few of you will have some ideas.
