he is the only LSU commit to be a 4* that isn't in the rivals top 250

LA seems to have more back end talent than I thought. Might not be top heavy with all the 5 stars but has plenty of potential to develop into 5 stars.

So we have 5 players in the initial Rivals 250?

I'm surprised Granier &/or John Thomas aren't 4*s.

Granier has me scratching my head personally, considering many consider him a top 5 player in LA and the top LB for sure.

he is turning heads everywhere he goes: LINK

Lamar Louis has absolutely dominated the camp and combine circuit this year, and he continued to reap rewards yesterday when the junior was invited to participate in the ESPN Gridiron Kings 7-on-7 Competition.

"Brian Stumpf contacted me yesterday and told me I was invited to participate in the ESPN Gridiron Kings 7-on-7 competition," said Lamar Louis, the junior LSU commit from Breaux Bridge HS. "He said they only take the top guys from each region. In our region, it's mostly going to be guys from Texas and a couple from Louisiana, including myself."

Last weekend, Louis waltzed into Houston and promptly brought home the RB MVP award over such stars as Texas A&M commit Trey Williams.

"I like being underrated," said Louis. "Trey is a good, shifty back. I was impressed with Curtis Riser, the offensive lineman from DeSoto. He moves really well for his size, and - from what I saw - he looks like he still has some growing to do."

Who else impressed Louis?

"My former teammate, QB Dshaie Landor (Teurlings Catholic HS), did good. He has the best footwork of any QB I've ever seen. His size (6-0, 170-175) is his only drawback."

Breaux Bridge is absolutely loaded on offense for the '11 season, with Lewis, WR Travin Dural (LSU commit and track star), solid RB Adrian Menard, and WR Kavahra Holmes (who ran the fastest 400 meters in the nation this spring).

Clean has to be getting paid a flat rate per article! Seems like he has a couple of new ones out there every day!

anyone think louis has a shot to be a top 100 player by year end. I think he and feist are the 2 most underrated commits.

If he keeps winning MVP's for RB, and shines at BB then I don't see why he would move.

Trey 's 3 star ranking is correct. I watched Fournette's highlights against Trey. Make the kid look like a scrub.
