Do you think it would be wise to destroy our own infrastructure....I am not saying it would be easy for them to move supplies around it just would not be impossible. A lot of the issues the enemy would face small groups and individuals would face as well. How do you get your home resupplied...that's a 45 min boat ride out in the middle of no where. How do you get gas...ammo..food...meds... as I stated I think people assume it would be an easy thing to do, I just don't think it would be as easy as some make it out to be.

I think you would destroy a Mississippi River bridge if you thought it protected your family. If a foreign military occupied this country, civilian supplies wouldn't be moving anyway. Do you think they would just let the railroads run? Allow unfettered interstate traffic? Hop in your car and go to the grocery store and spend U.S. dollars?

As for defeating a foreign army, civilians that take up arms would suffer an inordinate casualites as comparied to those inflicted. There is no effective way to take on a tank, plane, etc with a rifle. However, attrition and logistics would be the key. The same way it was in Vietnam and is in Iraq and Afghanistan. Just depends on how committed the foreign army would be.
