Anybody planning on going down to the camp or fishing in the Cocodrie area this weekend? I think im going to give it a shot on Friday. The wind doesnt look to be too strong as of now but it is projected to blow from the East

I went kayak fishing in the marsh north of LUMCON last weekend. Very windy, but caught numbers of trout & reds, mostly undersized. Wound up keeping 7 trout and 3 reds. Most caught on green cocahoe/chart tail under popping cork, and gold spoon. Gulp under cork would have worked better I am sure.

Fished that general area last Sunday. A little north of there. Hoping to get back out there this weekend. The wind doesn't look as bad.

I plan on fishing down there on friday. If the wind lays down we'll head down and fish Pelto.

What will all the water coming down do to the fishing around Cocodrie?

PROTECTED WATERS CALM.

SATURDAY
SOUTHEAST WINDS 5 TO 10 KNOTS. SEAS 1 FOOT OR LESS

I think i may try and make a run to Coon Point early friday morning then just fish Pelto on the way back in. The rising tide should make for good morning fishing

Will be down tomorrow. Work the afternoon, then fish till at least Saturday afternoon. If we do well, I'm good for Sunday too.
Good luck guys, don't crowd me.

Caught 75 yesterday. It was beautiful out there. The wind FINALLY let us get some fishing in.
