Lupe Tortilla's in Katy???

How many of you have been? And I am prepared for the "typical chain restaurant crap" comments. And "all chain suck".

I have given the place 3 chances as I do love their food. This location need to get it's shite together.

1. 10% gratuity taken on a to-go order??? I have never seen this. Especially when you are just getting food from the front greeter. Was only a 35 dollar order. And be sure the order is right before you take your 10%.

2. Hostesses are rude?? This also I have never seen. It has happened on 2 occasions. The hostess should be accustomed to "how long is the wait questions." and people checking back. Not get attitude when someone asks a question.

3. Large groups. Though it may get better with this. It did not. Service was half assed and damned rude with a large outside patio group. They made us wait for the entire party so we went outside to have rita's. Standard practice for most people. They seemed pissed. Then were rude when we all managed to sit in 3 close tables and just stay there. They weren't getting u a table ready. Why would they care if we took the initiative and seated ourselves outside where you seat yourself ANYWAY??? We were a large group and dropped about $500 bucks easily.

Anyone else have a poor experience with this location? I HAVE had one decent time there. Just the wife and I eating lunch and drinking tea because our baby was with us. I guess they cannot handle more stress than that?
