That'd be awesome. but I doubt it. A big D-line pick and LB pick with him signed would be probably boost our D up into the top 5 easy

i'd say there's more likely a chance the saints would trade up into the top ten to take patrick peterson than sign nnamdi.. which is 2% likely

Just thinking if we got Peterson the connection from LSU fans to Saints fans will be complete

I'd go .0002% on Peterson, Nnamdi less than that

Considering how poorly our pass rush has been, our CBs have played superbly the past 2 years. Blowing all that money on Asomugha would be a very bad decision, you'd better be willing to let either Greer/Porter walk as well as either Nicks, or Harper + Moore.

I don't think we have much of a shot getting him. But this talk reminds me of the the fun we are missing with the free agency..

Is plaxico back? where does Carson Palmer and Kolb end up? Is Shockey secretly working as a spy for the new orleans front office? Who is HBO's Hard Knocks following this year? Where is my wallet?

So many questions....

If there was a chance the Saints signed Nnamdi for his market value, the FO would lose a little bit of my faith in them.

Since there is zero chance of that happening though I;m not worried

We have arguably the best secondary in the NFC if not the NFL.

We have a great secondary but no pass rush. The fact that teams had a hard time passing on us even though we didn't have a pass rush speaks volumes for our secondary.

Is this a serious thread? I can't tell. You do know that our cb depth is pretty freaking solid right now eh?

Zero chance of namdi

Don't think so, I wish I could say otherwise but maybe its because the lack of pass rush but we seem to lack man-to-man

Yes very serious...I know how solid the guys are, but when you have an option to get maybe the top or perhaps 2nd rated guy at a position, it has to be looked at, yes?

Only a desperate team would pay what Nnamdi expects to get paid. I don't think the Saints fall into that category.

Porter was a slight disappointment this season after the NFCCG and Super Bowl, but I still think that he and Greer (when you factor in their age and reasonable salaries) along with Robinson are easily a top 5 group.

Then you throw in Jenkins (top 5 safety in the league) and Harper (who despite the Seattle game is a great fit for Williams' aggressive defenses) and we're no worse than 3rd best secondary in the NFL.

We need front 7 help - our secondary is largely set.
