Just curious how do you plan on taking it over?

The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world.

Not worth it!

We went there for the Cotton Bowl--terrible mistake, way too crowded and overpriced.

The only good thing was the in-house "Tiger Eye" brew.

That place was so crowded the we could barely drive through the parking lot to see if we wanted to go in.

As Yogi Berra said, "no one goes there anymore, that place is too crowded."

The area around the Stadium and the Ballpark doesn't have many other options for watering holes as I recall.

It's actually a cool place, but ironically there were TOO MANY Lsu fans there for the Cotton Bowl. Once we got in and seated at the bar we were cool for the day, but it took over an hour just to get in the door. There was literally a line to merely get in the door.

Good place to meet up w/ Tiger fans, grab a drink (if you can), and go move on to a kick arse tailgate. That's not a place you want to "hang out" before the game. Much more to see near the stadium. Prolly some Duck fans to Tigerbait there too.

It will only take about 10 people to take it over. Nice, but too small to support a large crowd.

Humperdink's just feels overpriced because what you pay isn't on par with the service/atmosphere.

There's a Sherlock's Baker Street Pub (Arlington) about the same distance away. It's not any bigger - but they always seem to be trying harder.

If you can handle a "smart casual and up" dress code and don't mind gathering/starting out a little farther away - Cool River in Las Colinas has REAAAALLLLLLY good food ($-$$$), a top-notch bar and plenty of TVs and 9' Diamond Billiard Tables.

I might check out Blackfinn in South Arlington off of 20 as well. It's a nice bar and has a ton of nice TV's. Good food as well.

Well, it only takes one LSU fan to take over 10 Oregon fans, so any place would probably be fine.

yurintroubl,

Thanks for the tip about Sherlock's. Sounds like you're a local. Do you know if the local alumni assn. is planning anything for the weekend?

I got there early enough to be seated and served. The food was average. The assistant managers and bartenders tried very hard, even served food and bussed tables.
The establishment was forewarned about the LSU crowd and failed prepare. I hope the local alumni association can come up with a better idea.
