Its about time, right? Apparently it will be announced at E3 and released in 2012

I doubt they'll drop backwards compatibility, so I assume that it will have a motion control periphrial to play Wii games. But whether or not this will be the primary means of control is anyone's guess.

If this is true, and it is substantially more powerful than the 360 and PS3, sony and microsoft should be scared.
Imagine a wii, where you could have all the great 3rd pary titles that are available on PS3 (like arkham city, red dead redemption, all the FPS that everyone likes, etc..) yet still have mario, zelda, donkey kong, mario kart, smash bros, etc...

microsoft and sony have nothing to fear... hardcore gamers... like real hardcore, may buy wii 2.0 for the zeldas and marios... but will also own a microsoft or sony console.

Seriously though. Sony's console will have next gen graphics and despite a few exclusive titles, do everything that the Wii2 will probably do. I don't think Nintendo will be in the same position with their next console.

So all the kiddy games will have better graphics? Sony and Microsoft could careless what Nintendo does anymore. They are easily 3rd in the pecking order now
