Benjamin pellet gun repair advice/help needed

I recently went to shoot my Benjamin pellet gun and no pressure builds up when you pump it(kinda like Ole Geauxt). The gun is around 20 years old but has always worked fine until now. Anyone had this happen to them or know where I could get it looked at?

there is actually a special oil made for air guns.
I wouldn't just go putting some 10w30 in that bitch.
Mine does fine as long as the felt ring stays oiled.

If the gun has sentimental value,do not send it back to the manufacture. My dad sent his back and got a new gun instead of his original gun he bought when he was a kid. When he asked about it they told him the gun could not be returned due to safety reasons. Just a heads up.

Yeah try lubricating it first... if that doesn't work you can get a repair kit.

You know what model it is?

An older Benjamin likely has a leather seal vs a felt. If not used/ maintained the leather will dry out ans shrink, meaning no pressure buildup. A few drops of neats foot oil or leather conditioner and let it sit for a few hours to soak in should fix it.

I would think not since we're talking about pneumatics here.

if it is indeed a real Benjamin.
Mine is 20 years old but is not an original Benjamin.
Think it's either made by Sherridan or Crossman.
Says Benjamin on the gun though.
Ohh and mine is a .177 cal.

I have a Benjamin from about 1975 that has been severely used and has been oiled with everything from gun oil to 30 weight to machine oil to oil for pneumatic tools. After many years in a hot, humid attic, I took it out and it was like yours. I put machine oil in it and let it saturate the thing and it feels as strong and accurate as ever. As long as the oil isn't too thick, it's hard to see how it'd do any damage. Even then, it'd clear out over time.

Order a parts kit for your model airgun and replace all the internals. It will probably work better than before. I have never opened up a pump to do anything but lighten the trigger, but from what I have seen it's not complicated.

Flip it over and extend the pump. Kinda near the hinge end you'll see a hole and the piston will come up past it. Drop some oil in that hole and saturate the thing. Put some on the other side of the piston in the tube, too and work it a few times. You should start to get some compression. Fire it and repeat. You should eventually get a bit of oil coming out almost like smoke when you shoot it. Also oil the other moving parts. It ain't hard.

You need a rebuilt kit.....

I did this with my Benjamin Pump (177 cal) about a year ago!

Bryan & Associates

My Model 310 is shooting "just like new"....

There's a guy in Eunice who fixes these rifles. I sent one to him via my brother-in-law. If it's an old gun, don't contact Crosman/Benjamin. They'll only want to give you a credit for one of their crummy new guns. They say the old guns are "dangerous."
