ok, screw the Qb talk.

On a positive note, who agrees with me that Spencer Ware has a chance in his time at LSU to CONTEND (be on the short list of those invited to NYC) prior to leaving LSU?

I think he is THAT GOOD. He is on track to be my favorite LSU Tiger of all time. Yes, I have tanks of Ware Kool Aid.

You know you and I agree on a couple things but if we do not get a real passing game, as you well agree, nobody will contend with anyone.

Miles likes one guy to handle the load with the other guys picking up 5-10 carries throughout the game.

Ware will be on the field a lot this fall. He is a true 3 down back bc in addition to being a great RB he is exceptional out of the backfield as a receiver.

Spencer ware has a great bowl game and looked great in the Spring game. Clearly he's a heisman candidate.

Seriously when has LSU under Miles ever truly taken this approach.

Hester was obviously the main guy and was spelled by Scott and KW.

then Scott was obviously the main guy and was spelled and KW.

then Ridley was obviously the main guy and was spelled by Ware, Blue, and Ford last yr.

Miles likes one feature back (15-20 carries per game) and then one or 2 other guys splitting 5-10 carries.

It will be similar to Ingram and TR @ Bama.

Ware averaged over 7 ypc last year, albeit only with 24 carries, but also consider that the bulk came against a seemingly dominant interior D in aTm.... then he comes out during the Spring Game and averages over 7 ypc again.

If he doesn't sit out complete games, ie, Northwestern, etc etc. then he has a serious chance THIS YEAR. Rather than the RB by committee, I think what's really going to hurt his numbers is the read option and QB keeps that Jefferson is going to take away from him. Next year, when we have a true passing QB, his numbers will likely inflate even above what they might be this year.

I think it's extremely possible, but I'm also not sure what's going to happen on the OL these next few years. If memory serves, we're going to be losing a lot of bodies soon.

I'm really starting to get on the Ware bandwagon myself. The kid has the potential to be one of the top RBs in the nation and I hope it happens. My only question with him is how good is he a picking up the blitz and blocking? I haven't paid any attention to that aspect of his game.

Agreed.......... Ware showed that he is a special back and could have a special year if given the chance to.

Where people get this idea is beyond me?!?! LSU under MIles has had 1 feature back who gets 15-20 carries and the other 5-10 carries are split up between a couple guys.

People are stupid.

LSU has had what, like 7-8 RBs to break the 1000 mark?

And 3 of them have happened in the last 4 years.
