Don't get me wrong. I'm not against holding youth clinics around the world. I just don't understand how it is automatically such a good thing for the PGA Tour. I assume attracting more foreign players and boosting viewership in those countries is the motivation. Leaderboards are becoming increasingly international. I'm not sure this is a good thing for attracting/keeping American viewers. If an international player reaches a Tiger level of dominance, that will attract viewers. However, if the game becomes completely taken over by foreigners, viewership will drop in America. Also, as the Europeans become more powerful, so does the European Tour.

It's primarily due to the competition with the European Tour as the PGA tour is losing ground with some international players to that tour

Right, but it seems like we are helping make that situation worse.
