What the title says, a film you love but everytime you mention it you get "never heard of it/seen it"
And I don't exactly mean the most obscure damn film you can think of.
I'll star off with Dirty Mary Crazy Larry. Seriously this is a badass movie.

My answer for this has always been Cadence.
Love that movie, and most people have never even ehard of it, let alone seen it.
Awesome movie though.

I have never heard of this one. In fact I never knew Martin Sheen made a film.

I've always liked Brick but I have it listed in the sticky thread at the top.

How are we supposed to know if others here haven't seen it?

The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain. 1995 with Hugh Grant and Colm Meaney.
WIKI LINK
Can be corny at times, but has some really good humor and I can watch it with the family

My favorite Chaplin film, even over The Great Dictator.
On an old movie point, every time I make a friend sit down and actually watch and listen to a Marx Brothers film, they end up loving it.

Wild Strawberries
My favorite Ingmar Bergman film that isn't The Seventh Seal

I'd also say Sunrise; it was the "other" Best Picture winner at the 1st Academy Awards for Unique and Artistic Production, the only year it was awarded. It's a visual gem for a film from the late 20s. Keep an eye out for it on TCM; they've played it a couple times over the last few months.

Too bad you're never around to counter the blank stares and raised eyebrows I get when I mention those films to people.
