So i had a sleepless night and watched the banjo minnow infomercial, and now of course i want to try them. Anyone ever used them with any success?

I've used it. It's not a miracle lure like they claim it to be.

i'm not looking for it as a miracle lure just a good practical lure to add to my collection.

I've caught fish on it. That's about as much as I can say about it really.

The only thing more awesome than a banjo minnow is The Judge . . . and it's close.

Can you imagine how awesome it would be to mount a reel on a Judge and load some banjo minnow .410s for it?

Could probably catch fish on dry land with that combo.

It's a gimmick bait. No real fisherman should ever have one in his collection. The bait will catch fish but it's not some magic bait that catches every fish in the lake. Flukes work just as well or better probably

No, not really.

Different action completely. Different conditions will dictate which works better.

It is actually just that, a gimmick bait.

You do realize different flukes have different actions? Some flukes have the exact same action as the banjo.

And I'm sorry those info-mercials suckered you into buying a set and you feel the need to defend your purchase.

I don't think you know what gimmick even means.

There is only one fluke. Zoom makes it.

This is simply false.

There are a lot of gimmick baits that you can catch fish on. The helicopter lure, lighted baits, and so on. Im saying they wouldnt be a total waste of money because yes its possible to catch a fish with them. That doesn't mean you should buy the set. If they are such a great bait how come no pro fisherman uses them? I guarantee none of them have the banjo minnow in their collection unless they are paid to.

So you're saying you have no idea what a gimmick bait is, yet you know the banjo minnow isnt a gimmick, even though you have no idea what a gimmick bait is? Gotcha

There are other companies than zoom that make flukes. A fluke is just a term used to describe that type of bait. Maybe you should stop posting in this thread, you seem to be embarrassing yourself.
