He is one of the finest LSU has had on and off the field.

I happened to switch over to CBS to watch the tournament and caught the feature story. Not only is Bradie a hell of a football player, he's a hell of a man and an outstanding representative for LSU.

My mom called me to tell me it was on, so I caught most of it. Great story about a great guy. When I worked at the Foreign Language Lab on campus, Bradie always came in to work on his Swahili assignments at night. He always arrived in a good mood and was funnier than shite.

Too bad Gerry couldn't stick around and see Bradie develop.

The teams fortunes quickly turned around when we hired a competent coach to succeed him.

Bradie James was one of the first football players I really started following. Still love watching him play.

BTW, he has set all-time Cowboys' record by leading the team in tackles 6 straight seasons. He should have been to multiple pro bowls by now.

He later became an All-American with the help of Bill Muschamp and Nick Saban

Help? He took a 2nd round NFL draft pick & turned him into a 4h round pick.

Here's how your boy Saban wanted Moffit to train Bradie James:

quote:

But it's not too early to figure the Cowboys have high hopes for James, a fourth-round pick in 2003. The former LSU standout played in 14 games last year, mostly on special teams, where he had 16 tackles.

His size (6-2, 243) is ideal for Parcells, but James also has speed to match. Yet his most improved quality appears to be his strength. In April, Parcells called James was one of the team's five most improved players from a strength and conditioning evaluation.

"When he got here, he couldn't lift a Kleenex," Parcells said of James and his rookie season. "But now he's one of the strongest players we've got."

And don't think James didn't use that as motivation, not that he had much of a choice.

"Yeah, the guys were kidding me about that, putting a Kleenex box in my locker," James said. "So I've been working on getting a lot stronger this off-season."

2nd round draft pick according to who, you? I know you aren't suggesting he was a 4th round pick because of the weight room numbers.

Actually, in reality, what Muschamp and Saban did was make him the 1st All-American linebacker at LSU since Michael Brooks and the last linebacker to make over 150 tackles at LSU. What round Bradie got drafted in is irrelevant.
