So I finally got the dreaded, and anticipated
"you cant buy another gun until you sell one you already have"
from the wife.

Anyone here gotten that?

If so, how do manage your way around/through it.

Ive been able to rationalize every gun purchase claiming a specific "need", for her own protection of course. i.e. (zombies, katrina 2, mexican drug lord invasion, insert any other common excuse here)

Need some new ideas

I go through that, but with golf clubs.

My GF hasn't pulled this one yet, but she has said several times, "why do you want to buy ANOTHER gun when you already have enough" and my response is, "you can't ever have enough"

That's good... for now.

If she told you this
quote:

"why do you want to buy ANOTHER gun when you already have enough"

Then it's only a matter of time
quote:

"you can't ever have enough"

That one worked once for me.

Just tell her the same thing she tells you about all those shoes and stuff.. "Oh, good grief, I've had those forever"... Most of the time it works..BTW, thanks to all the cammo and drab finishes these days,, the guns don't look as "shiny", therefore, she usually doesn't notice as much...

Scare the crap out of her about the dollar being worth nothing soon and the impending zombie apocalypse and tell her it's an investment.

She doesn't questions my guns I don't question her purse's....

You need to find her vise and exploit it...

She said she could buy a new purse (Coach or similar) each time I buy a new gun now. That has slowed me down a bit. Lately I've been buying mags and other accessories and when I do buy a gun I don't tell her about it

If she has a shite-load of shoes and purses flip it on her and tell her that if you can't have more guns, she can't have any more shoes and purses and the first time she breaks down and buys something, you will be coming home with a new gun.

Can't hurt to try. Good luck.

You can also mention Obama talking about gun control recently and you are trying to make an investment in guns that will appreciate in value if they are banned.

Used this one too, however, I think it's been a while and Im sure this is one that can be used anytime as a last ditch trump card.

My wife is actually encouraging me to buy another gun or two and more ammo. I thank Glenn Beck for that.

I guess I am just lucky, my wife wants to purchase more firearms and she loves to hunt and fish. I was going to sell my AR-15 a couple of months ago and my wife told me, "you don't sell guns, you just buy more and more ammo" God I love that women.

I'm addicted to 9mms, but even I am at the point that I think I need to sell one before I buy another.
The problem is I don't have a safe. At some point storing these things becomes a problem.

I'm running out of reasons. The last AK was a tough one to spin. Mexican drug gangs probably got thrown in there somewhere. I've been told "no more" until I get a safe.
