I usually don't put much stock in what people say an twitter, but DWest said:

"weird atmosphere tonight in the arena!"

Then Paul retweeted it.

I didnt go to the game or get to watch it...anyone have any insight or thoughts?

Are you suggesting that or was that the case?

Celtics fans were running rampant. Not just Big Baby or Shaq jerseys but all of them! It was disgusting.

there were tons of C's fans there. you could see them on TV. you could also hear them every time something went right for boston. this has to be what they're talking about. i sure hope they arent trying to blame the loss on this "wierdness" though. they straight choked that one away.

It was irritatingly loud when the Celtics played well. People cheering. It was sickening. I'm sure it didn't escape the player's notice.

i dont know about that, but it was certainly frustrating for me to watch on TV. partly because i knew how many bandwagon celtic fans were in there cheering against us, and partly because i lost 3 different sets of tickets on eBay to this game (possibly to boston fans). i know i dont usually have that hard of a time getting tickets to games, but when these games (mia, lal, bos) come up its always ridiculous trying to get tickets. this made watching the game on TV that more frustrating.

Man that is pathetic. Really sad to hear.

Sitting quietly in your seat pulling for the other team is one thing, but to cheer for them when you are from NOLA is just pathetic.

yea i feel fairly confident there was lots of this going on. people just want to cheer for the front runners. its why people have like 32498629368 favorite teams. one of the things that REALLY pisses me off. then again, i get WAY too attached to my teams. haha.

It seems almost everyone is a Lakers, Celtics, or Heat fan it is ridiculous. 99% are front runner and bandwagon fans.

I am sorry, but if you are not from these areas and are a die hard that is just fricking stupid.

thats just it thought. these people are HARDLY diehards. they are bandwagoners who love a front running team. it is why they love said team.

This is why they had so many Celtics fans, uneducated fans who pick a favorite team to prove they know basketball. I mean yea I like the Thunder because they really good but I was the first one cheering in the Arena when West dropped the game winner!

Exactly, thats what im saying, its understandable to like good teams and even to be fans of them. But to cheer for them over your hometown team, whose future in the area is uncertain, is sickening.

The ironic part is that these worthless fricks are it part of the reason that basketball could get run out of N.O. and they will no longer get to see their bandwagon team play. If they were smart they would shut there mouth.

People like that are basically still emotionally at 10 years old. When I was a kid -- way back when -- early 70s -- the neighborhood kids played tackle football, I was the only one w/ a Saints helmet. One kid had a Chiefs, another Jets, another Dolphins. (just happened to be three teams that had won the Super Bowl.) I mean, if people traveled from Boston in numbers to attend the game in N.O., good on 'em. But New Orleanians cheering ag. their own team is really lame but what do you expect from 10 year olds.

It's just not fun to follow a good team because I wouldnt get that excited when they win because you expect it. I enjoy, enjoying every victory

Maybe they wouldn't have heard that celtic roar when they took the lead if they hadn't blown a double digit lead, or if CP made a frickin shot in the game.

That's always the case, particularly in cities like NOLA with poor fan support. Go to any Celts game in Jersey, Memphis, etc. and you will see same thing

Went to the Lakers and Heat game at the Hive and it seemed like I was the only person cheering for the Hornets.

At the caves game last year, I felt like the only hornets fan there as well. Even Marcus Thornton's little brother had a red shirt on
