fricking leaches. Did y'all raise ticket prices for this one game like Tulane did every time we'd go down to play in their dump?

I don't see anything wrong w/ doing this one a year, to give back to state universities. Also gives tiger fans n the area a chance to see us play. Now Tulane, that's another story. frick the weenies

No shite. LSU leaches off of our big money oilfield companies here. The least they can do is come down and play a basketball and baseball game game like they did this year.

There are bleachers being brought in because of the demand. Someone said mentioned 2,000 but of course this could be off. I bought my tickets two weeks ago. It sure would be funny you had people scalping tickets at a Nicholls baseball game.

I was at the Nicholls-LSU game two seasons ago when the Colonels won. Those players will be able to tell their grandkids they played on the Nicholls team which defeated the CWS Champions.

Beating LSU is your claim to fame when you play for what is basically a good 5A high school team.

That should really have our players intimidated.

I doubt they boast to their grandkids about their great accomplishment as you put it. Rather, use it as a lesson to teach them that you can accomplish difficult things when you put forth the right effort. Or, they may teach from the other perspective......if you don't prepare properly, even the most unsuspecting foe can beat you.

In state school athletes don't always hate the flagship school. They hate the people that treat them as if they are second class citizens because they attend a different school.

Or maybe they all hate LSU....

Ding Ding Ding

Houma-Thibodaux supports LSU because they are on the National Scene. People want to be apart of winning and LSU wins but when that team comes down to play our local team things are different. In the big scheme of things this game won't mean much to LSU but it means a whole lot to Nicholls.

As a previous poster said two years ago we beat LSU and they won the CWS. Whether LSU fans believe it or not that one win can be used as a recruiting tool to say that Nicholls can play with anybody. When recruiting against SLU, Mcneese St and Northwestern St. you can hang your hat on that kind of success. Coach Seth Thibodeaux is the real deal.

LSU better bring their A game.

Yes sir,
Most people don't realize that all the local schools support LSU
When not actually playing them.
I remember in 94 when Nicholls beat LSU 2-1. That was
An LSU team with Walker, Johnson, I believe Rios.
Anyway, point is LSU was clearly a better team, but it
Didn't mean as much to them. Hell, I believe Bertman
Forced Jeff Harris to pitch and he really wasn't a strong
Competitor. A kid named Tim Daigle pitched his arse off that
Day and held LSU in check.
I know, I shouldn't know these things....but I guess that
Is why fan is short for fanatical...

Sup T. I was at that game. We set up on Bowie Rd. behind the outfield and watched for free. The view wasn't good but it was still pretty cool.

Was going to try to go but my son has practice for one team at 5:15 and a second at 7.

Agreed. IF it were a weekend series that'd be one thing, but I think this is good idea. We need some damn pay back for basketball! (I can't believe I'm saying that).
