I hated shrimp for the first 16 years or so of my life. I like them a lot now, but not near as much as I enjoy a good crawfish boil

I'd rather boiled crabs so...
But during crawfish season I pick crawfish Shrimp have a much longer season, so I'll take crawfish while I can get them.
Best way to do it is boil crawfish, and the last few minutes of soaking time put in the shrimp (they don't need long to cook). Then you can have both.

Boiled shrimp hands down. Better taste and more meat for the effort.

This. I've only had great boiled shrimp like twice.
But we generally do both at crawfish boils so why choose, I say.
