God awful. St. John's was given that game. After a bad call or two, St. John's runs out of bounds then the player throws the ball into the stands (which should have been a technical). Nothing called, Rutgers loses by 2.

That's how you give a team a game

That was the worst end of game officiating I have ever seen.

So many missed calls at the end by the refs.
Unbelievable.

First off, they lost by 2.

You really want a technical for throwing the ball in celebration when the refs call the game over?

That said, the last 10 seconds were terrible basketball and officiating combined. I can't believe the clock wasn't looked at when there were multiple people on the court pointing it out to the officials.

Refs were clearly ready to go home

That was absolutely horrible in every way. 3 huge missed calls, especially with the guy stepping out of bounds and throwing the ball in the stands with 1.7 seconds left. Another example of why the game of basketball is fundamentally flawed in the way that it lets referees become such a major part of the game.

I don't give a shite about Rutgers but that was embarrassing. I'm sure that was the end of a few Rutgers players careers. That was as bad as it gets.

Rutgers should've had 2 free throws and the ball.

Games like this are why I hate people who say refs should swallow their whistles at end of games. Refs are still deciding the game Just against the other person

Why am I not surprised that a team that plays in MSG gets the favorable end of a screwjob?

Huh? Tech was not the issue. He stepped out of bounds with 1.7 seconds left.

He threw the ball in the stands before anyone before anyone called the game.
Louisville got a T for a cheerleader throwing the ball in the air (not in the stands) a week ago with 0.3 seconds left in the game.

They could've but the refs were half way to the locker room by the time the horn sounded.

Couldn't believe what I just saw. Rutgers deserved much better then that. It's like the refs decided to stop officiating.

Wow! Never realized that the refs could have checked out instant replay to save that last 1.6 seconds. Welcome to our next sports scandal.

Actually, as I think about it, I'm totally wrong about the T. Clock was stopped in the Louisville game. St. John's guy didn't know he stepped out and was trying to run out the clock.

So, no T, but a terrible job.
