Player's batting songs
Posted by OzChuffnugg on 3/5/11 at 12:08 am00
Does anyone else think the starting line ups batting songs this year absolutely suck?
T Wat has the Bernie which is tight and Rhymes has the Dougie, after that it is terrible.
There aren't any songs to get the crowd going
Sorry if German

I think, for the most part, our fanbase has really enjoyed the playlist thus far—if not for the players' musical choices, the criticism and opinions make it all worthwhile.

I dont know if you've ever looked around at the demographics at the box, but neither of those songs are going to "get the crowd going"

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here and guess that you are black.

UH, 95 % of the crowd has NEVER heard of ANY of those songs, including me !

No I'm not black but those songs are both dances therefore people can actually get involved. If you know the song. All the others are just pieces of country songs.
Last year hanover had "All we do is win" and Gibbs had his song which I'm not going to even attempt to spell and there were others that got the crowd going. This year we don't have songs like that

I'm just glad the walkout music is really all there is to complain about at this point

Disagree, those songs don't get anyone going. HOMERUNS do ! Strikeouts do ! This is baseball, not football. Don't like the piped in music.

And someone would complain no matter what it was. It's music, art...subjective.

Goddammit you are right!
Guess we might as well pack it in folks, season is as good as dead.

Whoa people I apologize for coming across in the wrong way. I am not trying to be a negatiger here at all. I could not be happier with the way this season has started. I'm not trying to find ways to complain. I just thoroughly enjoyed the way the crowd got involved when Hanover and Gibbs went up to bat last year and going to my first couple games this year I just noticed nobody had songs like this year and I was a little disappointed.
Homers, defensive plays, strike outs, runs, and wins get the crowd going and that is going well right now...No complaints

JaCoby Jones' "Too Legit to Quit" is far and away the best.

yes because I can count how many times the box has broken into a mass synchronized "dougie"

good thing the point of them isn't to get the crowd going....its for the player coming up to bat

I think it's best if we don't call Trey, T Wat.

Wonder what you think is bad. I imagine Jeff Beck could play a guitar solo for you for your birthday and you would say, "When does Dougie start?"
