Do you guys think music playing on the boat scares fish when bass or bream fishing? Or even redfish and trout fishing?

If you are playing your music loud enough to scare fish, then you are an a-hole.

If you are sight fishing in really shallow water maybe but not while anchored/drifting in deeper water. I would think as long as you aren't blaring it with too much bass you should be ok.

This is what I was really questioning I didn't think it'd scare trout or redfish

I've always heard it won't effect the fishing.

I occasionally will bring my iPod dock.

I've sat on many bream beds while listening to music. It wasn't very loud though.

Rap scares bass, crappie and bluegill. Those species like jangle pop, indie, and college alt.

I don't think it really matters if its low but I just want every possible thing to be on my side when I'm fishing.

Low volume probably ok.

I do know Paw Paw always would turn around and scold me for beign "too darn loud" when I was rifiling through my tackle box looking for the perfect bait as a kid.

I can't count the millions of times my dad has said, "boy, you're being way too loud back there!"

start wade fishing....you'll be amazed at the sounds that come from boats while fishing. Wave slap, Steps walking back and forth, slaming hatches, music, talking, etc.....

But no I don't think low volume of music hurts anything.

Mine would get on my for stomping around the banks of a river/creek while we look for our pool to fish.

Who in the hell ruins the sanctity of the great outdoors by playing music while fishing?

Last guide I used did.....we limited out on trout and reds. Fwiw I owe him for that. It wasn't until I HAD to listen to country music for over 8 hours that I actually started to like it.
