For a couple of reasons:

1. This is a Hornets board, not a Thornton board.

2. If he wasn't an LSU kid, you'd all be praising the deal that was made for Carl Landry. He just brings more to the team.

I'm sick of tears when I frankly believe that Landry can bring more to this team in both the present and the future.

I don't mind keep track of Thornton on here as long as its not in the frame of mind that "he still should be here" type thinking.

But he was a hornet favorite.

Very successful 2nd round pick.

Local guy.

Wish him nothing but the best.

so moves, bad or good can't be discussed? Hell cowboy fans still talk about raping Minny for H Walker

In your opinion.

again, in your opinion. In my opinion, this teams needs A player willing to shoot, don't have that anymore IMO....

maybe you are a commie and only want to read what you agree with? I don't like people who think that way

So if CP3 and DWest eventually leave no one can talk about them either ? Only what we got in return ?

Don't have an issue with getting Landry, he can help the team. The problem is Thornton should stayed. Should have dumped Green or Beli or both.

Like Thornton, but I agree with the OP.

Why would Sacramento want Marco or Willie ?

I know it's a crazy concept. BUT for a trade to go down the other team must actually get something they want in return. Crazy I know but it's true.

Eventually yes. Chicken moved a thread I made talking about the Thunder getting Perkins at the deadline. He said it wasn't Hornets focused enough. I think we get a brief mourning period before Thornton threads get moved to the MSB.

Dude, you know that's totally different.

You know they are two totally different situations.

Correct. The Kings didn't want W. Green or Beli. But somehow both found their way to Monte's starting line up ahead of MT. Doesn't that seem strange?

Right now yes, weeks from now Thornton will be more irrelevant to the Hornets than the Thunder.

Just cause you put hornet rival in the title ?

I'm hoping so, that's what Chicken told me to do. I think it's crazy that we have to go to the MSB to discuss other teams that are relevant to the Hornets.

I agree, but it's not my website. And who can argue with his success of running it ?

Well yeh lol. One will be eating potato chips on the couch and the other we will be facing in a 7 game series.

I just see no problem with giving the guy a little praise. He worked his arse off for the Hornets for a year and a half. Played some very good balls at times for us and looked like a young player at other times. I'm proud of the guy.

I'm not against that at all. I hope he blows up and gets a nice payday.

This team is better with Landry and got a great deal for him. The people who can't see that are Thornton fans, and not Hornet fans.

he was a hornet, though, who was dealt. it may work out, it may not. in the very small sample we have, thornton > landry

i am not hating on the landry trade (mainly b/c our coach hates MT5 and that wasn't changing), but the hornets have needed a scorer at the 2 for about 74 years, and thornton was that guy. now we're back to the drawing board

it's not hornets-focussed at all, so of course it was moved

or did the hornets previously have perkins?
