i was wondering if any of you lafayette area people have eaten anything from creole lunch house lately...i want to order some stuffed breads online, but i haven't had anything from there in over 10 years, and want to make sure it's still as good as i remember it. tia

I haven't been there in several months, but it has always been good. Makes me want some fricassee right now.

It's still legit, one of my favorite places all time. I ate there once a week until about 9 months ago when I moved to Baton Rouge. I'm partial to the chicken fricasse and red beans & rice but I used to get the stuffed breads fairly often and they are still very good. Don's in Carencro sells them frozen if your ever in the area on a weekend when Creole Lunch House isn't open. I've never ordered them from the internet though.

i agree with both of you on the fricasee...awesome! i've never ordered anything through cajun grocer, so i'm a bit hesitant, but they list 4 16-oz stuffed breads for 15.95 plus shipping, which is a great price. i wish they could send a plate lunch as well
