Anybody know of any places in town to get some pretty cheap 7.62x39 target ammo? Cheapest I've seen is some Monarch at Academy for about $6 for a box of 20.

I don't live in BR, but this is my favorite online ammo site...

www.ammoman.com

You can get Wolf FMJ 7.62x39 for about .22cents/round delivered.

sportsmansguide.com who advertizes on here. 22-23c per round

Who buys 7.62 by the 20 round box anyway. This is a round that should be bought and stored by the thousand.

This is where I bought mine. $127 for 640 rounds in a sealed tin. They are $3.95/box

Guys, I'm looking for a little ammo locally. I dont have time to order from cheaperthandirt like I normally do. I would prefer not to buy 20rd boxes for $6 a piece. That's why I came on here to see if anyone knew of anywhere I can get a couple hundred rounds locally. I'm not cracking one of my SHTF tins to go shooting.

Unless you expect STHTF in the next week, go ahead and order more and crack a tin in the meantime.

That's the problem. As the number of rounds in a package go down, the price per round usually goes way up.

I don't see the problem with cracking a tin and putting a new one on order?

hmm I will have to check walmart next time as well. Our walmart has all but done away with sporting goods. It is sad how little they have.

Just read this on AR15.com

I work for Walmart as a member of management. We got a notice a week or so ago that the company does not want to have issues with ammo shortages again like we had after Obammy took over. The notice said that they signed an agreement with Tula arsenal to import high demand calibers. It's good for everyone including Tula who will get a ton of sales through Walmart. It's $4.79 a box at my store...then I get my associate discount. I've been buying it as fast as I can...haha
