Headed down to Dularge this weekend. Looking to not have to make too long of a ride. I will have a 5 year old with me. Thanks

I know they are still in Boudreaux if that helps.

Wish I could give my own report but I just asked someone who would know and he said Yes.

You still hitting them in Boud? Was thinking about going this weekend.

Went Saturday and had 45 in my boat, 5 short of our limit. Friends had 30ish.
Sunday was a lot tougher, wind came up. Not too good.
Had some lunkers mixed in with 14-15's.

what are you calling lunkers? 20"?

Went yesterday mainly to just run the boat, and saw about 15-20 boats in Decade so figured they had a few fish. Stopped and caught about 20 over a couple of hours. Pretty slow and the wind was really picking up. Still surprised we caught that many after the lil duece work that has been going on.

My boss went out yesterday afternoon and said the wind was awful. they still managed to catch a few trout and five or six reds. They just went to the leeward side of the lake and drifted then repeated for a couple of hours.

Thanks for the info - I dont fish much in the winter. You chase birds or just fish certain areas of Boud?

They are doing more work now? I haven't been since Thanksgiving.

Not bad. I really only like fishing decade b/c it is close to the camp. I would much rather fish Mechant b/c I always catch better quality fish there.

18" and up are very nice trout!

Not sure if they are doing more work now, just in general since they started the work a few years back. That was the first time I fished Decade since 08 in the winter. A few years ago there probably would have been 80 boats in the lake.
Thought about going out to Mechant, but glad I didn't when that wind picked up. Just waiting on April for the trout to start showing up in the Gulf.

Easy to clean too!
Can't wait for more southern fishing.

tough to fish when its windy. years ago it had grass everywhere and the water stayed clear even after bad winds....trout fishing in spring was incredible.
I am ready for the bait to come in and start fishing the cuts, islands, and platforms.
