after Texas has its Junior Days? I mean "top 50" type players that might consider LSU.

They've already had one junior day and only have 6 commits.

There will be plenty of good kids left as always but we have to get on them.Tam,TT,TCU,Oklahoma and Okie St. are all over those kids already. We are on the QBs which is most important to me at this point.Other positions are easier to fill since there are more good ones in Texas ,LA and the rest of the southeast. Also Texas is likely only taking in the 20 range so here will be lots of kids left that are LSU caliber.

Which QBs from Texas are you on?

Davis? Knight?

Showing more interest in Briscoe currently, but I think Knight is becoming the prominent target over Briscoe. We are still going after Matt Davis, but his situation is a little sketchy

Knight,Briscoe and Conner Washington appear to be the top 3 Texas guys aside from the obvious Matt Davis.Have also heard the big Williams kid's name thrown around some.Marshall i think is his first name.Knight might be 1st on the board if he doesn't go to TAM.If he does then i'd think Briscoe. We're late on Knight since everyone seemed to think he was Texas bound until Brewer commited.

Marshall Williams must have been a camp star last year or else everyone is just going off of potential. He hasn't played a down at QB at Flower Mound as he's been behind West Virginia bound Paul Millard

I don't know anything about him at all to be honest.I figure he's either a good athlete or some schools have seen him in person.I've heard his name mentioned a few times with LSU but nothing serious.

Some early guys invited to Texas' 2nd jr. day.Not many guys on our radar(at least publicly) so there will be plenty left for us to go after if we choose.

RB
Jonathon Williams
Terrance Taylor
Trey Williams(reason already talked about have most doubting he shows or matters)

OL
Trey Keenan
John Micheal Mcgee
Camrhon Hughes
Mac Long

DE
Glyn Cheeks
Taiwan Johnson
Devante Fields

DT
Malcolm Brown(will be interesting to see if he shows.Top DT in Texas and reportedly a big TAM lean. We've offered)

LB
Damien Neroes(good athlete)
Peter Jinkens(Another that will be interesting to see if he makes it this time)

DB
Corey Coleman(good)
Bryson Echols
Edward Pope(good potential and great potential size)
Decarlos Francis
Justin Thomas
Corey Thompson(good)
Kendall Sanders(some say he's the best CB in Texas)

So could I.Texas is hoping that he makes it out of TAM without commiting. If he does and goes to Austin next weekend it will officially be game on with him.

He hasn't committed yet, but I think he will in due time. The same goes with Cole, but I feel slightly less confident. The dominoes are falling for us though.

Word is that both will be in Austin next weekend.Texas is pretty confident with Cole eventually.Brown not so much. The same line is being used as always. You guys had a good day today.Just don't get too comfortable thinking Devante Bourque is going to be an Aggie. When we offer, game over.

I don't think many Ags are considerring Devonta an Aggie. But, Sherman is committed to recruiting LA and we have grabbed a few LSU left overs each year. Maybe one day we can actually get a LA athlete with an LSU offer (maybe Lorenzo Phillips?)

But for the OP. Texas can only take 25 players. OU is expected to have a VERY small class this year. Less than 20. A&M is in well with most of the Texas Top 50 but not all, and OSU and TCU are off to good starts. There will still be a chance for LSU to grab a player or two. But this isn't a deep year for QB in Texas, IMO. There's Matt Davis and Trevor Knight but after that nobody is elite. Of course, with the TX HS 7on7 there are still plenty of servicable QBs and odds are one or two more pop up as being elite during their Sr years

UT got tired of LSU raiding Houston and are locking down the city IMO. It is great strategy on their behalf.

I don't think UTexas worries too much about LSU's recruiting in Houston. Or I've never heard a Texas fan mention it. Much more to Texas' advantage to try and limit OU's recruits in Dallas

TCU's recent rise as well as their announcement to join an AQ conference, along with A&M potentially making some noise in the next few years does not bode well for Les' intentions to recruit TX.
