He squared that thing up though to one of the shortest parts of the park and it still only cleared by a few feet.

Maybe he's just being optimistic, but he made it sound like it wasn't that big of a deal.

I hope you're not talking about his first homerun? He damn near missed it, it was a popup that cleared the fence... that wasn't supposed to happen with the new bats!! The 2nd HR, he squared up!

Did the 2nd one actually clear the LF bleachers? It looked like it did, but it was hard to tell from the RF corner

According to Mainieri they averaged over 1 per scrimmage. Not much more but cpm did say that the change won't be as drastic as he first thought after going through the spring practice. Said they only had a couple of the new bats to work with this past fall.
