I'm pretty excited about it. Although, I am partial to the RBRG organization.

Sad Bacco is closed, but interested to see how the new place comes out.

Thanks for the info. I was just thinking of posting a question today to see if anyone knew what the latest status was for the project.

If you have connections, how about telling them to get off of their arse and try and make Ralph's on the Park the best restaurant it can be. It seems they gave up on it being anything special a long time ago.

I'll write them a letter telling them you said so.

Yea, it's where Old Metairie Bistro and New City Grill were.

Don't get me wrong, it is acceptable, but with that location it can be so much better. It seems that they are content just to let it float along and be an average place.

I am looking forward to this new place on Metairie Rd as I pass it every day on the way home from work. Should a good place rather quickly due to the chef coming over from Bacco.

Yea, I have seen some of the early/preliminary menu options they are playing with. It looks really interesting.

I'm worried about them stretching him (the chef)out too thin though. He is at the cafe in NOMA, heading the catering operations and working on opening the new restaurant.

Wifeunit works in the office although she's been over to the new place and movie studio a lot lately.

Any idea if the restaurant is going to be exactly like Bacco or they changing it up?

RBRG not going back into Old Bacco location. At least that is my limited understanding

It will not be Bacco. It is a new concept. Last I heard something along the lines of an American/French/Creole Bistro...

I heard they are "still looking" for a place to reopen Bacco, but I don't know how much effort they are putting into the search.

I agree with you notiger1997. Ralph's is TERRIBLE now. They need either management overhaul or shut the place down. Always out of food, don't let people with reservations sit right away, mediocre dishes, etc.

Very much so.

I really thought it was a solid choice.

I wouldn't call it terrible but they definitely have room for improvement.

I went to Ralph's for a Christmas party in December and it was better than the time I went 3-4 years ago.
