I think so. All this trade talk is in effort to please him and obviously to make a playoff run.

He's our biggest commodity, the longer he has left on his deal, the more valuable he is. Lets ship him off and maximize this deal. I think this team's chemistry could excel without CP as well. Not saying this team doesn't like him (outside MT) but I think this team can still contend and do well without him especially with the talent we should get in return.

If we still had DC, I'd agree with you.

DC is already near his ceiling, I'm glad we traded him. As for CP3, I think we need to reserve judgement until after the all-star break to see if his play picks back up. He's had a rough 5-game stretch, but he's still CP3, he'll bounce back. If not, then it's probably an issue with his knee, and then we can start worrying.

His play can pick up all he wants, i'd still want to trade him.

We traded him because he's a starter and our plans were, and still are, to keep CP for a long time.

I'm starting to worry if it's his head.

Unless someone offers up something ridiculous for him, like Dwight Howard, I don't see him getting traded. Possibly next year if starts that Melo-type shite and says no way he is extending with NO.

I fully expect him to be a Hornet for the last game of the 2011-2012 season. As far as any further, I'll have to see what moves we make between then.

I've been against trading Paul no matter what. But if hastens the post-Williams era, then I am all for it.

Unless we got an equal or greater superstar you can kiss meeting any attendance benchmarks goodbye.

It doesn't even matter if the team gets better. The mass public will abandon the hornets with the quickness if CP leaves in any way in the near future.

I'm a hornets fan first so if trading CP meant more wins and better chances in the playoffs consistently than I'd be all for it. I'm just saying that casual fans in the arena (as in most of the fans in the arena) will not return.

Truthfully though, if you know about the CBA situation you know there is a solid chance there will be a work stoppage in the NBA. The owners are looking to crush the players and the next CBA will most likely be structured in a way that teams won't have the cap room to make the major free agents signings like the heat did. CP isn't going to be able to leave us to form a super team most likely.

If we lose him before new LA ownership is in place LA can kiss the Hornets goodbye.

You can see that coming from a mile away. We've seen this movie over and over.

And if he keeps playing like Antonio Daniels we arent getting shite for him anyway

CP3 only used explosiveness as a tool. He didn't base his entire game around it like Derrick Rose or Westbrook. If they jacked up their knee, then they'd be in trouble. CP3 didn't get a concussion and he didn't hurt his arms and hands.

He should be making smarter plays and not passing up so many open 3s.

But for God's sake, stop the BS about trading him. We'd only make our team worse. You're just trying to spare your own feelings if CP3 just up and leaves in two years.
