So the thread about the best LSU baseball game ever attended got me thinking about some of the great players and plays that I saw over the years while watching LSU baseball. One thing I will always remember is watching Lance Berkman hit a ball well over the lights in 1995 when they took two from us in that regional (sore subject i know).

If you had to guess what was the longest HR you ever saw hit at the old alex box?

Brad Wilkerson hit one that only bounced a couple of times before it hit the admin building. That's the farthest I ever saw in there.

Cresse hit one over the flag pole in center field..don't know where it landed, we lost it while it was till going up over the flag pole..it was amazing and I saw the Berkman and Furness HRs as well..and many (10-12) that landed on the apartment buildings in left..but that was the longest and hardest hit ball I have ever seen..

The hawpe and cresse hr's were my era and some of the only guys that would hit balls that were still going up as they went out, but I've heard joey/albert belle jacked em out over nicholson and it rolled to tiger stadium back when it was just a flat parking lot. Anyone know of the Belle shots?

Bo Jackson & Frank Thomas cleared Nicholson one weekend series & I remember watching (can't remember his name) from Southern Cal hit bomb after bomb over LF bleachers one weekend. He hit the apartments once that I remember.

Mayer hit one off the lights in a mid week game. That is the longest in the 2000's.

Lyle Mouton and Gary Himel hit some bombs in the regionals one year... longest I ever saw in person. Bret Boone hit some bombs too.
