salt or Tony's or dip in soy then straight to 600+ degree grill.

10-15 seconds per side.

marinade of jim beam and soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic and a little oil (sesame oil could work, but too much can over power the tuna). put your steaks in the marinade for half an hour turning at fifteen minutes. DO NOT marinate more than half an hour or you will ruin the tuna. sear to desired done ness.

from a post i did on the f/d board.

you can't go wrong with many things. as long as it is fresh you should be good. When we catch them in the gulf and cut them up on the boat we just throw what ever we have on the boat on them that we think might work. put them on a cheapo george foreman grill and cook them. Haven't had a bad combination yet.

soak in vinegar water for a minute or two, then mix marinade of butter, minced garlic, soy sauce. marinate for 30, then rub in a little sea salt and pepper. then sear on hot grill for just a minute on each side

I marinate all my fish in KC Masterpiece Lemon Pepper and "Who's Ya Daddy". Never went wrong.
I usually only eat Tuna Steaks at restaurants.

Marinate in soy sauce. Dry with paper towels, cover in sesame seeds. Pan sear. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi. So freaking good!

This is the way I like it!

Like someone else said as long as they are fresh I haven't eaten a bad one yet.

When I was working in China we ate at a Japanese restaurant all the time. They had Kobe beef, reagular steak and beef teriyaki. I go them to cook me a tuna steak the same way and it was great! They had never cooked tuna that way.
