Just some data I was curious about so I thought I would share. From LSUSports.net. Formatting sucks, but it should be decipherable.

I like what Miles is doing in Texas and Florida. Saban seemed to do better in Florida and not so much in Texas. I like pulling from both states, but prefer 80% in state.

I think around 15 players from in-state is a good number to average per year(60%). Then it would be ideal to average 4 from TX, 2 from MS/AL, 3 from FL/GA, and 1 from long distance.

The Pensecola are in Florida is usually Bama/FSU pickings. Saban also takes advantage of south florida.

Never going to happen. We couldnt even fill all our needs this year when the state was stacked.

I dont know the updated numbers with this new class, but since mile shas been here 51% of the kids that signe their LOI came from OOS. Why i think its not as easy as some think o recruit at LSU. You cant rely on the state of LA alone to fill your needs.

Besides even this year their werent 16 4 stars or better in the state. For the star gazers out there this wouldnt go over to well. LSU could fill the class with 100% kids from Louisiana, but we not going to be playing for bcs championships.

Even the biggest states for high school football Tx, Fl, Cali all recruit OOS. Sometimes the tall just isn't there.

Go where the players are, I say. 80% instate is pretty high, especially with just having one of the deepest classes in recent history and ending up with a percentage lower than that
