If you are a caring parent, how do you let your son sign with Auburn?

What are players' parents thinking these days? With all of the smoke that came out of Auburn this past season, I wouldn't let my son even visit Auburn, much less sign to play there.
I thought the exact same thing when Saban returned to Alabama. After lying to everyone about not being the next coach at Alabama to the way he left Miami, I sat and watched him pull in recruits to an Alabama program that had been down. I thought at the time, what parents would let their sons play for the lying POS?
And don't even get me started on Kiffin and USC. Why do parents allow their children go spend the next 3-5 years of their lives at a school that is on probation and coached by a POS that has never coached more than 1-1/2 seasons anywhere.
As a parent, don't you teach your parents about integrity and class? There are too many good programs out there and too many quality coaches to ignore.

Look, Auburn just won the national championship. Yes there is a lot of smoke but until they find something then they are playing around with the rules just like every other big program. Don't fool yourself into thinking they are the only ones playing with fire. Also I love LSU more than anything and I truely believe Miles runs the cleanest of programs and we are on self-imposed sanctions right now.

I think if you have a son that can play college football and Saban wants to talk to him, you let your son talk to him. The same thing with Miles and most of the other SEC coaches.
I wouldn't let my son talk to Auburn.

And being a caring parent doesn't automatically make you a smart parent.

Auburn is paying these guys it's the top level 5* guys. Guys with legit NFL potential.
If they get popped in 2-3 years they will still have NFL potential. Why not get paid once for going to college and another time in the pros.
Hasn't hurt Reggie Bush, or cam Newton

The kids and parents form a relationship with these people. Many understand the game of recruiting and the money involved with college football.. These relationships bring trust and allow coaches to ease the feeling that as an outsider you have.. These kids and parents are no different than most and once you've seen the system up close you would probably realize how naive you're being in regards to the squeakiness of ones preferred program. In the end the kids make decisions based on a myriad of factors, many having little to do with other schools perceived notions of integrity.

As much as we all hope to see it, there has been nothing proven that Auburn is going down. You can be sure Auburn's great recruiters are assuring parents of this.

Have you seen what Cecil Newton's church looked like before his son signed with Auburn? Have you read about his magical business turnaround?
He's definitely caring.

Tough question. I guess, on average, you have to say yes and have confidence in what you've instilled in your child up to that point.
If you've done a quality job of raising your kids, a football coach/team isn't going to change who they are.

Maybe you do these days, but I am referring to when he just left Miami for Alabama. At that time, everyone was dragging him through the mud publicly, the clips of him lying were on tape, and Alabama was way down. Yet parents didn't care, and some were even willing to pay their sons' way to school.

Auburn pulling top kids from OOS isn't new this year. It started last year, but no one was bitching until Camgate arrived. I forget the total, but someone posted the staggering amount of #1 ranked kids in their state that Auburn lured away. Personally, let them roll dice some more, but without a talent like Newton coming along again at QB, going forward they will reside behind LSU and Bama in the West as it should be....Redheaded step child.

Man, some of these post come off as so petty is tough to read. I really wish every recruit someone else would sign wouldn't be followed by some excuse. I know it's just the emotions of NSD, but it comes across as so petty
