I was watching the ESPN and Rivals chats earlier, and someone said that they thought that Arkansas had the best OL class in the SEC.

After I was done laughing, and after I saw the CK announcement, it made me wonder - who does?

I think it's between us and the Barn assuming that nothing else huge happens for another school. Thoughts from anyone else?

Why is Auburn's better?

eta: Are you saying their 5 star is better than our 5 star? Or their two 4 stars are better than our 2 four stars? I don't get it.

Auburn. Just think, Greg Robinson committed when they told him he might play LT early. Now he's hoping to get in the 3 deep at right guard.

Never mind. Forgot about the early enrollees. Their class is better but they're still some lying, cheating mother frickers.

on paper. however, every year someone forgets to tell players like fairley, t. mathieu, mo claiborne, kelvin sheppard, greg mcelroy, tyson jackson, ect. that they aren't as good as the other players.

Yeah I got in now Eggman. I forgot about the early enrollees. I'll still put our our up against theirs any day of the week. Plus, AU is going to have bigger problems in the future. There's no way they'll have room to play all of those guys so more than likely we'll see some attrition.

maybe, but we are not projecting the future here...just talking about the class itself.

it's an impressive haul, i don't think i've seen something like it before.

obviously i love LSU's haul as well, but AU's is the best in the country.

Arkansas probably doesn't have the best OL class in the SEC, but its a very good one. 2 All-American OT's.

FWIW OL seem to be the hardest to predict success. There are probably more misses and diamonds in the rough at this position than any other position which is why classes can only truly be ranked after 2-3 years. Look at Auburn's class which will rank very high this year mainly due to the number of high profile OL in this class. It will only truly tell if these recruits pan out as somewhere between All Americans or as solid dependable starters.

You shouldn't. On paper they might have signed one of the best OL classes in recent history, not exaggerating.
