Carrot Cake

I have been experimenting with some baking recently. Made my first carrot cake today. Flavor was great and home made icing was banging. But it came out a little dry. Any suggestions on making my carrot cake more moist?

how many eggs did you use and did you use buttermilk and oil?

Try adding some applesauce? It might sound weird but it works for muffins.
