I saw Nacho once...he walked in with the Rx pad open and the pen to it...asked what was going on...scribbled an Rx and hauled arse.

Not impressed.

Isn't a dentist a doctor???

They are NOT RD's or "REAL DOCTORS" as my brother-in-law the dentist says.

Chris Rich and Robert Dugas were both in my LSU Med School class and went on to finish Ortho residency while Jay Whitley was also in LSU Dental School at the same time. Last I heard, Dugas was in Lincoln, NE and was one of the Cornhuskers' team docs.

Nice. I was always impressed that 3 docs came from the same senior class and same offensive line.

He was for 16 years.

This is correct. He practices general ortho, with a subspecialty in sports medicine. I am his nurse!

Dr. Rich is, as another poster pointed out, practicing in Alexandria.

Looks like most of the football guys are listed. How about an SEC champion track&field guy, Dr. James Andrews.

Mike Vincent (played on the '66 Cotton Bowl Team) is a dentist in Baton Rouge. Really nice guy. Very good friends with my parents.

So about 75% of former players went ortho? Not surprising.
