Who is your 'sleeper' in this class?

Mike Farrell: It's always either a running back or a quarterback who makes us look silly at times so I'm going to go with a player at one of those two positions. There aren't any running backs below four-star status that stand out to me so I'll go with QB Stephen Rivers at LSU. He has the bloodlines with his brother being an all-pro. He's 6-foot-6 with plenty of room to fill out and he will get a chance at LSU with a ton of talent around him in a few years. I think he could be an NFL guy down the line like big bro, San Diego QB Philip Rivers.
I dont know much about this class other than the obvious big name guys. But who would your 'sleeper' in this class be?

Landry was the closest thing to a sleeper in this class before the Under Armor game if a 4* can be a sleeper.

Terrance Magee is the #1 RB in the nation
bold bold...... i know. I think Magee would have outshined either Hart or Crowell @ the AA games

Rivers is a good pick. I could see him starting in 3 or 4 years and being a pro prospect if he gets the right coaching.
I think Terrance Magee has been overlooked by some recruting sites. His films are amazing and people who've seen him play compare him to K Faulk.
Trevon Randle may be forced to be a big-time contributor early on due to lack of depth at LB. I'm hoping his career ends up like K. Shepard's.

People are extremely high on Magee here so I'd have to have him up there. Also Jalen Collins and Micah Eugene are my two other guys not getting enough respect!

i assure you, between the regular posters here, many people were going to Magee's games early in the season. I think we watched him a good bit more than the majority of the scouts. Got a better look, got a great feel. The one thing that stands out in person is his balance. It is unreal.

I don't think a 4 star guy can be a sleeper. I agree with Rivers. He is way more mobile than I thought and with his size and ability to sit for a couple of years and develop, I think he could be really special. Just seems to have the instincts. On film he moves really well but is always looking downfield to make a play.

He scares me with his skinny unSEC body. It looks like his bones will get crushed. Hope he puts on plenty of weight.

I also agree with Magee
He looks like a great athlete on the field (like Ware last season college RB playing QB in high school).
I have family and friends in the area that have seen him play. All believe he will be one of the top players in the class when all is said and done. I trust their opinion more than a rivals.com evaluator located in another state.
Edit: Don't forget about Paul Turner from WM either.

I guarentee you Miles was thinking in the back of his mind the entire interview with Krags how much help this guy will be to Stephen Rivers. he has great bloodlines, which you can't beat. At 6-6 200 that may seem extremely small for an SEC QB and it is, but the guy has never been anywhere near a college weightroom before, he has a perfect frame to be a solid QB before his days are done at LSU. Moffitt is licking his chops to get this guy up to 215-220 before he steps on the field.

He will have at least 3 years to do so. Plenty of time to add some lbs.

Grew a lot in high school. Give him 2 or 3 years in a workout program and he can easily add a bunch of weight. I know, my body did the same thing. I was a rail after growing too tall too fast in highschool and now at the end of college I have to watch what I eat because I'm getting almost too heavy.

oh and my sleeper is Trai Turner.
If he gets some good coaching I think he can be a damn solid OL. Has good size and athletic ability.

To me it's David Jenkins or Trevon Randle. Look at when they committed and the offer sheet.
Randle committed in FEBRUARY. Had offers from Oklahoma, A&M, Nebraska, TCU.
Jenkins committed in July. Offers from Texas, Arizona, A&M

I'm gonna go with Micah Eugene. I would have said Jalen Collins but not since he got his 4th star.

The none QB/RB/WR pick is Trevon Randle. This guy was all over the field in HS, has the frame to put on weight, and stayed under the radar due to his early commitment.
