The S & P Grocery next to Maesone offers Banh Mi only on Fridays, and there's another place by Picadilly (can't recall the name) which offers them on Saturdays. Frutti Smoothie serves them up Wed-Sun, but they're more expensive and not quite as good.
Some of the best Asian food is served at Osaka. The two owners are Vietnamese and Korean, and they make some KILLER authentic cuisine. Here's the secret...Korean and Vietnamese dishes are always offered (pho during the cold months) but they aren't on the menu...you have to ask your server. Don't feel uncomfortable that you're putting them out by ordering off the menu because they'll happily make these dishes. Recently, I had a spicy pork belly dish (which had some onions, etc.) where you take a full leaf of Romaine lettuce, spread hot chili paste on it, then spread on the pork belly concoction. It was off the hook. They also have a spicy squid dish witch is very good too, and others. I used to go to that place all the time when it was a Korean restaurant and a lot of times I was the only one in there, even though the food was outstanding. The same owners of that restaurant who converted it to Osaka, began dabbling in sushi which took off, hence the full switch to a Japanese restaurant. It remained the same owners, but I stopped going for years because I had no interest in Japanese cuisine from a Vietnamese chef
I had reason to meet some friends there and happened to walk past someone who was eating pho. Asked my server about it since it wasn't on the menu and she rattled off a whole bunch of Korean and Vietnamese dishes. I'd highly recommend the place.

They used to do this when they were an exclusive Korean restaurant, but they no longer do the smaller side dishes that I used to love. As I mentioned, you need to ask your server about dishes offered, because they aren't on the menu. If you like true Asian cuisine at all, run...don't walk. Last time I was there they filled up by around 6:30, which is a great sign for a raw bar.
I mentioned Maesone earlier as well, and that place had good dishes, slightly pricy though(over $10 for pho if I recall.)
If you do go HCK, let me know here what you thought of it.
