OU-LSU in New Orleans would be another road game for the Sooners. OU No. 1 and LSU No. 2? Not likely. If the Sooners are to make it back to the Big Bowl, they don’t want any part of LSU waiting on them.

Read the comments. This one cracks me up:
quote:

I ain’t skeeered a dem tiggers… an I darn sure ain’t skeeered of dat Lesley Miles none neither… bring dem drunkin’ LSU fans on so they can see da tiggers get da stripes knocked off ‘em by da Sooners!

And this one... so true!

LSU won’t make it, but if they do, they will NOT lose in New Orleans.

I wouldn't either

Hell, it's practically a home game for us.

Rematches four years apart in college sports are kind of irrelevant. The only person who is still there is Bobby Stoops. Is he going to try harder to win this time...like he didn't try his best the first.

We don’t want any part of that deal in the Super Dome with LSU. If we take care of our business and find ourselves in the NCG—we need some dominoes to fakll or fall so as it is not LSU in the Dome. Alabama and Arkansas would be tough enough in that local–but playing LSU in that venue would be very, very tough.

Playing LSU in the Superdome is an enclosed home game for us. I far as I know, we are undefeated in the Superdome at least in the last 10 years.

I know many Sooner fans, and even the rational ones are still sore about the 2003 (season) / 2004 NC game - citing the location as the deciding factor. They believe to this day that the Sooners would have won on a neutral field.

I love reading shite like this. The comments are priceless...trying to insult LSU/BR/NOLA by saying we party too much and are too focused on football...90% of us will take that as a compliment

ETA: This kid sounds like a vagina.

My son went there for one semester and one of the Professors at the Business college told him he needed a better business school based on the party atmosphere done in the name of sports, it had affected their level of educators. He is now back at OU.

LSU would have won even on a neutral field. We travel so well that it wouldn't have made a difference. Besides, that defense we had was arguably the best defense ever fielded.

That's what I think. Despite we won only by a touchdown, we dominated on all 3 phases.

OU fans suck, FWIW IMO. They are just no fun to party with, and the majority of them are stick-in-the-muds that can't take a joke.

Ohio State fans, on the other hand, are playful, cool, and fun to hang out with.

OU wants the rematch vs lsu in the superdome... 92% of OU people say that only reason LSU won is because it was a home game....A rematch if they win they can say they beat us on our own grounds (not true) a lost and they can use that excuse again

It was a neutral field. If they wanted a better split then more people should've bought tickets and made the trip.

Sooner fans can make whatever excuses they'd like. That line of reasoning actually implicates their own fanbase more than anything else. They're responsible for it not being a neutral field.

As far as OU the team is concerned, just look at the amount of rope Big Game Bob threw an awful UConn team in the Fiesta Bowl. We should be licking our chops at the thought of playing them in the MNC.

Yeah it is a neutral field and its not like their is a bcs game in OK... I use to think this was the worst excuse but end of season got in a argument with Oregon guys on cbs forum and their excuse was for the first game 2011 was that their players wont be use to playing in the humidity......

Jerrys world...come on...lol
