Funny how he links Hill and Metenberger with general term of sex crimes, suggests revoking Hills offer but then has nothing to say on what to do with Met. Guess QBs do get all the breaks

Jesus. He was all over the place in that article. Fwiw, Glen is one of the biggest hacks in the history of print media for the state of Louisiana. He does nothing but write articles that he knows are going to get attention. The Advocate let his dumb arse go and he got all butthurt stating they were mad because he was writing anti-LSU articles. The truth is he was just trying to bring attention to himself. That's why he's stuck writing about LSU from Shreveport.

It wasn't overall that bad, but the criminal and agent discussions were just plain ignorant.

It was horribly written, but I didn't read anything that should get everyone's panties in a wad.
ETA: I think some of you guys look for this guy to screw up just so you can jump on him, similar to what everyone accuses him of doing to Miles.

Sorry North Louisiana haters, you can't get off by claiming he is a North Louisiana guy. Glen lives and works in Baton Rouge. His columns are syndicated in the Gannett network within Louisiana. Gannett owns the newspapers in Shreveport, Monroe, Alexandria, and Lafayette amongst others so his articles run in all of those papers.

Nope. I sometimes agree with him and often enjoy reading his column, but frequently he goes over the line.
Equating what Mett did to Hill is just wrong.
I agree that scholarships should be pulled, but to print that as an indictment of Miles' before all the facts are in or before anyone know Miles' intention is just wrong.
To insinuate that Miles or his agent are idiots because they did not take advantage of LSU when Michigan offered Miles more money is wrong. Especially because Glen would have been the first to criticize Miles if he did use the Michigan offer as leverage.
Glen is an attention whore and I suppose that's his job, but I don't have to fall in line with ever bit of crap he writes.

Well I stopped reading after page one. It's so sad when a Sports writer stoops this low with his commentary. Obviously only Les knows all the facts which drive his decisions. Les' record speaks for itself and I have full confidence in any decisions he makes regarding his team.

My bad dog. I should have said "in" instead of "from." Doesn't change the fact that he was run out of the Advocate for being a douche. Then he tried to victimize himself like he was being oppressed as a "writer". Bottom line is he needs to bring attention to himself every now and then to remind himself that he does have a pulse in the industry. For that I salute him.

Who said anything was incorrect? If you want to get into semantics, I wrote 'wrong' in the sense of "inappropriate", not as "incorrect". I could have chosen other more descriptive terminology, but my 12 year old son reads this board.

Someone should ask Glen where was his article on his lover-boy Saban when he was letting players play after beating their pregnant girlfriends in an Albertson's parking lot. Guilbeau just has it out for Les for some reason. Maybe he doesn't get let in the inner circle at the media events or something.

Agree.
I would bet Miles tried to leverage more money - he and his agent would be morons not to - but the AD probably told him if you're gonna go for the $$$ go - you're not going to get it out of LSU.
