Does Oregon not have any kind of tradition? Have 400 different unis for football and then did anybody see their basketball court this week? Looked cool but know that would never happen at LSU because of all our tradition.

i agree 100%. i think they used to have tradition but it has all gone out the window with the bringing in of a billion unis and now the court.

When I think of Oregon traditions I think of Autsen Stadium and the best T&F fans in the country.

Always having new and fresh uniforms has become their tradition. I like it.

This is a fact!

Also, they are banking on that their tradition will be that they are on the cutting edge of what is new and that is impressive to this younger generation. IMHO

Actually, there is a purpose behind the basketball court.

quote:

"When I was asked to work on the new floor for Matthew Knight Arena, I really boiled it down to three things," Hatfield said. "I really wanted to pay tribute to Matthew Knight himself, to the Kilkenny family and lastly but maybe not least, I wanted to pay tribute to the Pacific Northwest and the Tall Firs, the original basketball team that won a national championship for the University of Oregon in 1939."

They have traditions at Oregon. That basketball arena is brand new. The frist game played in it was last night. The old arena (Mac Court) has been around for ages. It was a cool place to see a game but it was really too small.

Hot cheerleaders
Ballin uniforms, mix and match..

Looks to me like they're starting new traditions. I think they'll own the Pac10 for a while.

Wearing a bunch of whack arse uniforms is their "tradition."

LINK Not much. They have some cheerleaders, a mascot, a fight song, some kids who like basketball, a hall of fame, and they've won some national championships in various sports.

They may not have unique traditions but they do have great fans.

They do have great fans that are rather fun to hang out with, BUT they do not have tradition. When any of us go to an LSU game we see the traditions that have been there for decades. When we visit other SEC schools for games, we see great traditions that we may hate, but respect it because it is steeped in their lore. Oregon doesn't have the depth of that. USC, YES, they have tradition. Washington has tradition but Oregon is developing it.

The unis have certainly become a tradition of sorts.
