Finally went to try it and of course, got the cajun shrimp burger and my oh my, damn tasty and I'm opinionated when it comes to food.

The one negative is all the grease....butter perhaps making my bun all soggy.

I'll definitely be back.

Yeah there were many things that I'll be back to try.

And yea, I've neglected going, but I'm rarely on that side of town.

I've never been, but would love to try. I don't think I could do the shrimp burger only because I'm not a huge shrimp person, but I'd love to try the regular burger. I hear such good things.

Went and tried it for the first time this past week too.

Really good, but I couldn't even eat half the burger before I was full.

Service was a little slow but I didn't care unless I was drinkless

good food but a nasty looking place- next time you are there look up and then pray something does not fall off the ceiling onto your plate

Me either....at all. I almost didn't get it because of the shrimp. First, they pretty much all fall out of the bun as you are eating anyways. Second, they really had no flavor and actually added nothing to the burger.

I looked all around....sat in the front dining room. The faux wall treatment actually made me laugh. If people still eat at Louie's while semi-sober, I can deal with Mason's. It wasn't THAT dirty....seriously.

dang that's pretty harsh, but maybe you've had a bad experience there. i've been to mason's many times for cocktails, and have never really thought the place looked nasty. it's an old building, so maybe it needs some maintenance that i'm not aware of.

i've never been a big fan of mason's food, but i had a regular burger there last night and it was really good. even the sweet bun that i always bitch about tasted good.

Go for their brunch. It is really great. But be prepared to wait. It's gotten really popular lately. And they make a hell of a Bloody Mary. It's customizable. I load it with celery, olives, beans and okra and count it as a veggie serving.
