Just got home from Dallas and while I was standing in the screening line, maybe 1 1/2 minutes, the guy behind me said congratulations on the game. I said something like, Yeah we finally had a good offensive game. Then he said he went to the game because he was, either a friend of, or married to, Gary Crowtons sister. He said Gary has been completely frustrated as hell with Les the past 2 years. He grabbed my elbow and kind of whispered and said, "Les is thick-headed". He also said Les finally got out of Gary's ear Friday. He said Les was so conservative and that he always played not to lose.

I told him the fans were wondering if that were the case and we knew Les was hard headed and conservative. I asked him where he was flying and he said, Utah.

FWIW, I believe him. We have all been wondering about this. I have my answer.

Considering he would be "family" wouldn't he be sort of biased?

LSU's offense would be considerably better without both Les and Crowton.

So we should believe some guy in line in the air port that it is not Gary's fault, and just ignore the statistical evidence that show this exact type of decline at every one of his coaching stops prior to LSU?

Sorry, but the simple answer is always the truth. Our QB's needed slow grooming because of a lack of talent. As he groomed them, they got better. The time given for Bowls gave Jefferson two of his best games. Ga Tech and A & M.

dont you think its kind of weird for a stranger to grab you and whisper info about family members knowing them for a whole 90 seconds.

This isn't really that interesting. It's Gary's family what do you expect him to say. Also, our offense was way worse than just "being conservative"

Just remember, we were not conservative in 07 with an experienced and talented QB. Good running teams do better overall than others.

Ironically they ran more of what folks consider to be Les' offense and very little of Gary's...

Good thing he got out of Gary's way so we could run it 55 times.

Then he should leave.

Les is killing his reputation.

Bye, Gary.

I wanted to discuss that point (about the decline in production over the years and the QB situation) but we both were about to miss our plane. I wish I had more time with him.

If this story is true, what do you expect Gary to be telling his sister, friend or whatever the hell it was?? I'm the problem and I'm getting in Les' way?

Oh-no...the old "in a security-line" at the airport routine.... Don't you know this was a Michigan Booster that was in Dallas watching the game and wanted to get fans to turn on Miles?

Too bad that looked NOTHING like a Gary Crowton offense Friday night. This nonsense was said after every game the past few years whenever our offense didn't fall on it's face. I say your "source" is complete bullshite.

Btw, you're one trustworthy mother fricker to believe some random guy behind you at the airport.
