Per Sports by Brooks
(basically the TMZ of college sports)

Says Miles' agent is based in Dallas, and Miles is scheduled to return there on Tuesday for a coaches convention

The rumor was that Brandon was going to interview Miles and "A BCS game head coach" in Dallas. Patterson seems logical just because of the location but Bielema is in Dallas too apparently. Patterson did sign an extension this week but had agreed to it before the Rose Bowl.

AquaMan, who do you see being the head coach when all is said and done?

Honestly, I do think it will be Miles. Based on Brandon's comments in the presser, they're going to throw the money around, which has always led me to believe that Hoke can't be a serious candidate because Ann Arbor will erupt if he pays big for an ultimately unproven guy who was passed over by Minnesota. That was a really long run-on sentence.

There are rumors abound up here that Jon Gruden is a legitimate candidate but I think he's in the general area for the Cleveland job. Hard to say though because the Gruden stuff is heating up.

Gun to my head though? I think it will be Miles. David Brandon is not Bill Martin and he has a great relationship with Miles. He needs to make a great hire here and Miles is the closest thing to Harbaugh with his connection to the program and his success. Ignore the Moeller stuff; it happened like 20 years ago I don't think anybody really cares anymore.

What do I know though? Last week we all thought Stephen Ross was purposely driving up Harbaugh's NFL price in order to eliminate SF and allow us to swoop in and take him. Look how that worked out.

I'm not saying the Gruden stuff is even close to true; just that those rumors have gained legs from other areas since that random Detroit reporter tweeted it yesterday.

Sorry, not taking this out on you specifically, just in general I'm tired of seeing this used as fact. Nothing concrete has ever come out to prove that this is even remotely true. Message board fodder and nothing more. Until you hear Les himself, or Moeller say its so, I wish people in general would stop posting like it actually happened. Again, not specifically calling you out, just ranting in general.

Did Richard Gere really stick a hamster up his arse?

Whether something is true or not, once it has been around long enough, it becomes perceived as the truth.

Urban legends....yipee :(
